The Sad and Soft Fade of a Classic Boudoir Course

A classic boudoir course has left us
Once upon a time, Boudoir Photography Bootcamp with Jen Rozenbaum on CreativeLive was one of the most respected and comprehensive training programs in the boudoir photography space. With nearly 16 hours of content, it guided photographers through every essential—from lighting and posing to pricing strategies and studio setup. It empowered countless artists to build thriving studios centered on empowerment and body confidence
Created by Jen Rozenbaum—a New York–based boudoir visionary—this Bootcamp was renowned for its thoughtful teaching style and mission-driven content. She wasn’t just teaching techniques; she was teaching photographers how to create a transformational experience for women, focusing on authenticity and self‑love.
Over the years, Jen built a legacy; she was more than an educator—she became a symbol of what boudoir photography could accomplish: confidence, healing, artistry. Many credit her Bootcamp as the spark that launched their boudoir careers.
In April 2025, CreativeLive announced a major shift in strategy: they would close registrations to new users starting May 8, 2025. That meant new photographers could no longer sign up for classes—even iconic ones like Jen’s Bootcamp. CreativeLive attributed the decision to the rising cost of producing high-quality live content, shrinking returns, and the challenge of competing with short-form and free platforms
Effectively, Jen Rozenbaum’s Bootcamp is now listed as “finished” or “unavailable.” While the platform remains accessible to past purchasers and paying subscribers, the doors are firmly closed to newcomers.
The reaction across the boudoir world has been quietly emotional. Online communities and social channels carry a somber tone:
What’s especially poignant is that Jen Rozenbaum isn’t just any instructor—she’s a photographer who has faced cancer and used her own vulnerability to encourage others. Her journey—from screening to survivorship—infused her teaching with a rare authenticity and compassion. Losing accessible entry to her Bootcamp isn’t just about missing out on business instruction; it's about missing access to a profound and empathetic voice in the field.
CreativeLive’s public messaging didn’t include specific quotes from Jen about closing the course. Instead, the platform framed it as a business-wide decision, emphasizing sustainability over expansion. That said, long-time fans believe Jen shared privately that she understood the challenges of the modern e‑learning environment—but still deeply regrets that new photographers can’t sign up anymore.
Yuliya Panchenko—international boudoir photographer and founder of Believe in Boudoir, the world’s leading boudoir photography education platform—shared her thoughts on the course and CreativeLive's legacy:
“I still remember watching classes on CreativeLive in my early years—long before I even considered becoming a professional photographer. I wasn’t part of the photography world yet, but I was mesmerized by how educators like Jen Rozenbaum brought boudoir to life. It wasn’t just about technique—it was about purpose. These early platforms helped shape the modern boudoir movement, and many of us wouldn’t be here without them.”
“At Believe in Boudoir, our mission is to innovate with new techniques and creative learning models, but we also carry deep respect for the educators and courses that came before us. Jen’s Boudoir Photography Bootcamp existed long before Believe in Boudoir was even an idea. Its place in the industry is held with honor and gratitude.”
As the education landscape shifts, one thing is clear: the contributions of past platforms should not be forgotten. While new courses and creators continue to emerge, they do so standing on the shoulders of those who paved the way.
Jen Rozenbaum’s Bootcamp wasn’t just a course—it was a movement, a mindset, and a moment in boudoir history that changed lives. Though no longer available, its spirit continues in the work of those it inspired.
At Believe in Boudoir, we move forward—but never without remembering where the journey began.
